Maelstrom is a trusted blob sequencer for Celestia. Rollups simply embed the maelstrom client for blob submission and benefit from:

• Cheaper per byte data availablity through batching
• More fine-grained transaction control
• Simpler usage patterns
• Advanced transaction handling from submission to finalization
